A blue 67 Camaro 'vert just rolled on the block. I'm having a crisis.
Sold for a very attainable 31k.

Not a big fan of convertibles, but I've said time and again that the 67 Camaro remains one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

A 69 Z/28 rolled up not too much later. A sort of Mint green color with White stripes. Most beautiful color/car combo I've ever seen.

The greens used in that era were awesome, my personal favorite one is the Citrus Green used in the Yenko Deuce Novas
Though if I were to own one of these, I'd get, besides a heart attack, a nice coat of Fathom Blue to go with it
Simply beautiful!

Cmon Logansteno! You can get a lot more car for 31k by avoiding the auction block!
You can find finished cars in the 10-20k range around the Metro Detroit area!

Yeah, watching Mecum always makes me feel sad that I'm too poor to afford any of the cars that cross the block. And every now and then, the announcers get a fact about a car wrong, or it's clear on some models that they have no idea what they're talking about. I once saw a Bentley Continental GT cross the block, and they kept referring to the engine as a V12, when it's a W12.
Anyway, here are my three favorites from the upcoming Houston auction.
This black '49 Packard Custom 8
looks so luscious. And with that pedestrian-skewering cormorant hood ornament, it's the perfect old money luxury car. Brilliant.
Then there's the '62 Imperial Crown convertible . It's incorrectly listed as a Chrysler Imperial. For 1955-75, we just say "Imperial," as it was a standalone marque in that period.
And to round out my Top 3, here's the '56 Continental Mark II . It's also incorrectly listed as a Lincoln, when the Continental marque was a standalone brand from 1956-60. But that color is absolutely perfect. Probably my favorite color for a car. While I'd prefer camel leather interior, this car is still incredible.
There's a really impressive '71 Charger SE and '64 Riviera in the mix, as well.
